Congrats Spames

I don't know a great deal about R90's but I believe the factory TR left a bit to be desired?? This upgrade should solve what ever the problem was, I'll be interested in your comments once you get it set up. Yes excellent shipping from Ron, I remember when hurricane Ike was looming I orderd my Aurora servos, two days before she hit, he personally took them to the PO to get them outta there for me, they arrived 7 days later...truly amazing service
_________________
T-Rex 450"SE".......

I Cant speak highly enough of Ron Lund and his staff, I've purchased all my servos for my Caliber 5 and Avant Aurora from him, not only as just a click and pay transaction, but also back and forth email discussions about the various servos available etc, excellent service and advise from this man.

I've been in correspondence with the fella who made the vid I posted above...I'll paste in the last 2 emails. I've gotten my piece of plexiglass cut, but have yet to order the surface mount LEDs. I think they should work fine on the circuit I've seen used for fellas who've added the LED just to show the TX is on. The fellas making their own night blades are using a single cell 3.7 volt lipo to power 4-5 LEDs.
Hopefully I'll have something by next week. Here's the emails...

You can refer to this link too, find a pc of 3mm thickness transparent acrylic sand it with 600 grit then 1200 grit, applied vertical/horizontal force depend the LED light emitting direction.Wrong sanding direction against LED light emitting direction will give u shadow when light up.
I've tried the EL sheet also but not so practical coz it needs more current.Adjustable backlight is not possible by simply adding the rheostat. The inverter will produce a high-frequency noise(probably heard in quiet environment). This may affect DX7 2.4GHz component working properly. It is harder to read the display if u switch off the EL light(we dun like it lights on when daytime unless u like ).Somemore it's more expensive mod...I juz spend a few dollars to mod my DX7 Backlight with LEDs.
However if u mod the DX7 with EL,juz feel free to share with us.Happy modding

For EL backlight,u can use Align Driver for Cold Light String http://www.align.com.tw/shop/product...ucts_id=487.It requires 5-8V to drive & small enough to put it into DX7.
I used 4 pcs 3mm smd led on the top side of the acylic,it fitted perfectly into the filed notches 3mm acrylic plate. You can use the 3mm super light LED but u need to sand it into shape to fit into ur Plexiglass like the link u show me.I doubt u can get the rectangular superlight white/blue LEDs easily.I haven't seen one.I recommend using white instead of blue LEDs coz DX7 LCD characters r violet in colour,it will be hardly visible using blue LEDs i think. For the video I posted actually white LEDs r used not blue effect as u ppl see my vid.
For sanding direction, let's us make it simple as this way...if we put the LEDs on top or bottom side juz file the plate from up to bottom or from bottom to up(vertical direction);if we put LEDs on L & R side of the plate juz file from L to R or R to L(horizontal direction)-u'll have difficulties to put the LEDs in this direction .
And for the power led,if u need a simple power led indicator then u can refer to Helifreak post.but if u need it as the binding indicator also,u'll have to remove the ori green binding led from the circuit & route the wire to ur led & forget about the 3.3V pt on the pcb.I juz relocated the ori green binding led to blue led on front of DX7 only & it appears as power & binding indicator.LED lights on when power switch on after few secs but its fine. This is a simple way what I modded.
Hopefully this helps u in backlight mod

Good info on the Align driver for EL light if anyone wants to try it.
_________________
Thunder Tiger 53 Red Line Helicopter Engine

Computers :: Questions bout upgrading

Subject: Questions bout upgrading
Posted: Sun Nov 16, 2008 11:58 pm (GMT -5)

Yo guys,

Well basically ive got a stock HP computer (m7680n), with an ATI vid card as some may remember. Started to get into gaming moderatley (COD4, UT3), and well...its good, but its not great kinda thing.

Im looking to upgrade my case for much better cooling(always a plus right?), but well i know there has to be some compatibility issues with HPs software as well as sizes of the mobo and stuff.

Im looking at the Antec 900 case, and it says that it will fit a m-atx mobo, and the current one in my compter is a micro atx...is it compatible? (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00748726&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=&product=3299181)

I know if its not I could drill holes and stuff like that, but I want to KISS, because this would be my first semi computer build of any kind.

Then I was also thinking of upgrading the mobo, but again I just know there would be major compatibility issues with HPs stuff. I dont really want to loose any of my current data, but seeing as I have 2 hard drives, i think I could switch the one im not using as my promary, and install XP on that? And having XP installed on the 1st HD i dont know if that would be a problem...?

Im not quite sure what mobo too get, but looking to spend $100ish on one. The problem I see is currently I have the ATI card, but im looking into the nVidia 9600gt...do the mobos care what card they have plugged into them?

I posted here because I know ou guys know what your doing, and I wont get a smart answer if I posted somewhere else on a pure computer forum
_________________
Jason Bell

Just encase some of you are wondering.. I'm pretty much totally out of the hobby, life and weather up north just seems to get in the way... and oh yea, my new hobby seems to take up alot of my time too (:

I've Made my way up to from the bottom of D-Mains to the mid Bs over the summer and even managed to pick up a shop to support my vehicle for autoX and i'm looking to get into Gymkhana next year. [[Pretty much AutoX but at higher speeds, and WAY more technical]]
Here's a taste http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rs-jAImScms

Thanks to DJR-Concepts, the baby bmw is going to get new organs...
On the agenda for the 2009 season...
-K-Sport BBKs, 15" front, 14" rears
-lots and lots of Toyo RA1s on all four corners
-BBS LM-Rs
-UUC/H&R Race Sway set
-LightWeight A-arms

Some of the parts are here and i couldn't resist not putting them on...

(dont ask me why i changed my whole front clip)

Subject: Hyperion EOS0606i-AD Charger - Data Port
Posted: Sun Nov 16, 2008 5:21 pm (GMT -5)

Anyone have a EOS0606i charger? On the left hand side, there's a port about the size of a servo connector.

The box the charger came in mentions a data port, and so do numerous web sites that have the charger for sale.

The problem is, the manual doesn't say anything about the port and I don't see anything on Hyperion's web site about the port either.

Anyone know anything about it?
